Shades of Confusion
A downloadable game for Windows
S y n o p s i s
Shades of Confusion is a singleplayer first-person puzzle game where the player must escape an abandoned mall. However, the player can only see two colors at any given time: black and one other color. The player can change what they are seeing by touching floating orbs, which change what the second color visible to them is, allowing them to see objects that previously weren’t visible. By changing which colors the player can see, they can navigate through the puzzles to escape the mall.
We want the core experience of the game to be an intellectually stimulating puzzle game that allows us to best utilize the “transformation” theme of this game jam, while still sticking to the requirement of only using two colors at a time.
